  • What is GPS?
      A: GPS is the Global Positioning System of the U. S. Department of Defence (DOD) and consists of 24 satellites, which orbit the earth. A GPS receiver can compute location, velocity and time from the signals that are transmitted by the satellites. The SkyTrack contains a very sensitive receiver that tracks up to 12 satellites simultaneously.
  • What is a tracker?
      A: A Tracker is a unit which has all chips build within a circuit for collecting nd transmitting data to and from Satellites, GSM networks, Servers etc.
  • How does the tracker works?
      A:GPS tracking unit is a device that uses the Global Positioning System to determine the precise location of a vehicle, person, or other asset to which it is attached and to record the position of the asset at regular intervals. The recorded location data can be stored within the tracking unit, or it may be transmitted to a central location data base, or internet-connected computer, using a cellular (GPRS or SMS), radio, or satellite modem embedded in the unit. This allows the asset's location to be displayed against a map backdrop either in real time or when analyzing the track later, using GPS tracking software.
  • What can I track?
      A: Anything related to speed, Distance, location of a vehicle, person, or other asset, Duration of travel, Duration of stoppage, Over speed, Goe Fence, Route, etc.
  • What is a GPS receiver?
      A:A GPS receiver is an electronic device that listens to satellite signals and uses the information to determine and display the receiver's location, speed, altitude and heading.
  • Do we need the Qs on the antennas? Does the end user really need to know about the antennas?
      A: GPS antennas come in many different sorts and sizes. For use on a vehicle, an antenna can be mounted e.g. in the interior, close to the windshield. Just keep in mind that the antenna has to have a good view at the sky and must not be obstructed by metal objects or materials that contain metal particles.
      Basically there are two different GPS-antennas: active antennas, which have a built-in amplifier and need power. Passive antennas don’t have an amplifier and use no power.
      For the SkyTrack, a passive antenna is sufficient and often even advisable to make sure that the sensitive GPS-receiver is not blocked by very strong signals.
  • How accurate is (GPS) the tracker?
      A: This depends strongly on the number and position of available satellites. If the receiver has a clear view at the sky, position accuracy is about 5 meters. When the view is blocked by e.g. large buildings or trees, accuracy will degrade.
  • Do I need a permit for using (GPS) the tracker?
      A: No, there's no permit required.
  • Do I need a subscription for GPS?
      A: No, the use of GPS is free of charge.
  • What are the limitations for the use of the (GPS) tracker?
      A: Any GPS-receiver needs to have a clear view at the sky. If this is not possible, e.g. in a parking garage, position accuracy will degrade or the receiver may not be able to produce a position-fix at all.
  • My area has no GSM network coverage. Can I use satellite communication?
      A: SkyTrack Trackers are designed for use on a GSM/GPRS network and will not communicate with a satellite network. If there's no GSM coverage, there's no way to communicate. We are working on satellite and Wifi solutions, but a release date is not available at the moment.
  • How much data will SkyTrack send?
      A: This strongly depends on the interval that’s configured. In most situations less than 25 MB/month is transmitted for data can be viewed/stored for 180 days on server.
  • Do I need a SIM card?
      A: Yes, the SkyTrack has a built-in SIM card reader and you need a SIM card with GPRS subscription to be able to communicate on a GSM/GPRS network.
  • Can I use an antenna that covers both GSM/GPRS and GPS?
      A:Yes, the use of combined antennas is possible.

  • How do I place an Order?
      A:
      1. Select the product that you would like to buy.
      2. Click on the Add to Cart image
      3. If you need to add more products then click on "Continue Shopping"
      4. After you are done with adding products, click on "Check Out"
      5. Enter your name, address and other details and click "Next"
      6. Click Next Again
      7. Select your payment method and click Next
      8. If you picked the Credit Card option it will take you to the Payment gateway website to complete your order.
      9. If you had picked one of the other payment methods, then the process is complete, now just make your payment by the method selected.

  • How can I follow up on the order?
      A: After the order is placed, we confirm it by email. You can find out the status order by clicking on the link given in your email.
  • How do I obtain a copy of my invoice?
      A: The invoice is sent along with your order. A copy of the same can be e-mailed to you if desired.
  • What should I do if I get something else instead of my Order?
      A: Kindly get in touch with us and we will do the needful.

  • What if an item received is defective?
      A: Kindly give us a call and speak to our customer care representative and obtain an RMA number. Return the defective item to us within 2 days of receipt and we will gladly replace it. Please put the RMA number on your package. Only packages having an RMA number are accepted.
  • Can I return the product if I am not happy with it?
      A: Kindly give us a call if you are not satisfied with a product. If the product is listed in the list of items covered under our 15 days money back guarantee we will take it back and refund your money. Kindly give us a call and speak to our customer care representative and obtain an RMA number. Please put the RMA number on your package. Only packages having an RMA number are accepted.
  • What kind of warranty do you offer?
      A: All products are covered by the manufacturer's 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated.
  • Where can I take my product to get warranty repairs or service done?
      A: You can claim your product warranty according to the terms and conditions and by checking its warranty period through entering your Product code and Product number in online product warranty department.
